Production Blog: Editing Pt.4
On Friday, the 27th of February, I finalized editing the footage of my final task. I had all night to work on this because my practice ended early and I wasn't doing anything Saturday. Today's focus was adding the title and credits to the film. I continued to use CapCut as my editing software. All clips were already inside the CapCut folder, with all the necessary edits applied. I used the website artofthetitle.com to help format the title sequence on my video. I looked at many examples in order to understand what to add to my video. This was I could be sure that my video would match the examples. Another website, www.watchthetitles.com was used to look at examples. Then, started typing in the name of the studio and production company onto the first scene. I made sure that each phrase had enough screen time. Then I added the actors names and the film title. The next step was giving credits to the music featured and editor. Next, I added the producer, creator, writer, and director credits. I made sure each credit had the same text format and coloring. I changed the size depending on the credit. For example, the title credit was larger than the other credits due to its importance. After this I quickly watched the final product looking for any last minute adjustments. I didn't see anything that I thought I needed to change so I saved the video and was ready to show my group. I also wanted to share with my parents just incase they had any suggestions for any tweaks or edits.
