Editing Blog: Day 2 On the 29th of November, I woke up after having a nightmare about my video not being saved. Thankfully, after checking to make sure, my video was saved. I ended up rewatching the video because  I wanted to make sure everything still looked as good as it did the night before. As I watched it again, I noticed a small transition that didn’t feel as smooth as I first thought.  This made me wonder if the duplicated scenes were slightly misaligned. I then opened CapCut again to double check the timeline of these clips. After opening the music video project, I zoomed in on the clips to inspect each cut carefully. I realized that one of the overlays had shifted when I muted the audio tracks. This made the transition feel slightly delayed. I figured out I needed to adjust the timing by a few milliseconds to make the video flow smoother. After fixing it, I re-watched the video twice to confirm the improvement. I then thought it would be helpful to add a minor color c...

Editing Blog: Day 1 On the 28th of November, I began editing my music video. The plan was to edit my own version and compare with my group mates to see which video was better. I began assembling the scenes into a Capcut project. I duplicated the scenes in order to get the full required length of the video. Then I had cut the videos in order to get a smooth clip which shortened the run time slightly. Then I overlayed the song God's Plan by Drake over the whole video. It took me around 5 watches to determine what part of the song I wanted to play over the music video. I ended up overlaying the song from the beginning of the song. After this I decided to add wording over the first scene. I added the title of the song "God's Plan" and then said by Drake. I also decided to add my name along with my group members. After this I reviewed the video again. The scenes still had audio playing over them. I was unsure of how to get rid of this as I am not experienced with this edi...

Filming Blog: Holiday Park (Part 2) After the lunch break, I continued filming the music video again. I decided I wanted to start off the music video with a pan of the park. This would add to the aesthetic of the video while also increasing the runtime. This scene was shot in one take in landscape. After this I began to work on the next scene which was me handing off money to the other actor. I had gathered all the prop money into a stack. One of my group members was filming this scene and I had to instruct him how to position the camera. During the first take, the wind started to pick up and it blew some of the money out of my hand. I immediately told my group member to stop recording, and I had to go retrieve the money. The next take my cameraman didn't record the scene the best. It was hard to see the handoff of the money from the rapper to the fan. I suggested to keep the camera higher up when filming. The third take was perfect, the scene went exactly as I envisioned it. The n...

Filming Blog: Holiday Park (Part 1) On Tuesday, the 25th I began filming with my group. Originally, filming was supposed to begin on Monday the 24th. However, one of the group members was unable to make it so we had to postpone. I was the director as I designed the story board. I made sure to use the proper filming angles that each scene was meant to have. I was able to locate a bench at the park that was unoccupied. This area was used to shoot the scenes. I brought the props to the filming area. Once I had everything set up, I quickly reviewed the game plan with my group. I directed the first scene which was a pan of the fan sitting down. This scene took a few takes because I needed it to be a certain length. Also, there were a few cars passing by in the background so I decided to reshoot. One of my group members held the phone to record while I instructed them on what to do. The next scene was an establishing shot of the rapper meeting the fan. In this music video I was the rapper. M...

First Scene- During this scene we will be filming one of our actors walking in the park. This will be a pan and will show the scenery of the park. Our actors will be having batting practice on the field. We wanted to include a scene that will showcase the setting of our film. Second Scene- Next scene in our music video the rapper will walk up to the fan sayin hello. The fan will then become very excited as its his favorite rapper. We wanted to use an establishing shot to show the whole interaction between our two actors. The location for this scene is still at the park. Third Scene- In this scene, the rapper will be giving out money to the fan. The fan will then be even more excited. This will be at the park with an over the shoulder shot. Fourth Scene-  During this scene the fan will ask to take a picture with the rapper. The rapper poses for the picture while the fan is excited. The location of this scene is at the park.
